    Praise reports from Liberia

    • We are blessed with a new facility for repairing bikes on the Reuther Mold campus. We have almost 100 bikes ready to ship thanks to the efforts of Jerry Kuehl and Don Whitaker.

    • Rev. Daniel McGee has raised $3,000 of the $6,000 needed to build a house adjacent to the Farm Project. It is very important to have a place where families can live near the Farm to protect the crops from pilferage and vandalism. Another reason for the house is to protect the families from malaria. Having the house makes it possible to have bed nets to protect them from the mosquitoes during the night.

    • In January, the Healing Rooms of Liberia opened under the direction of Rev Beyan Zayzay.

    • Mercy Ships’ new hospital ship African Mercy arrived in Liberia at the end of May, which is its first ever outreach there. We’re very excited about how the ship’s crew will begin the process of building a rehab center for the disabled and handicapped of Liberia. This will be a joint effort between the Madame Boakai, the wife of Liberia’s vice president, and Mercy Ship.

    Prayer requests from Liberia

    • Pray that a national coordinator will be found for Trans World Radio’s Project Hannah – Women of Hope to raise up Christian women to pray for the needs of the Liberian people on a national level.
    • Please pray that we can make arrangements for another container to ship bikes to Liberia either through Firestone or Summit Missions or both.
    • Please pray with us that Rev. Daniel McGee is able to build a portion of the house near the Farm Project with the funds he has raised before the rainy season begins.
    • Christine Tolbert Norman, who runs a ministry for orphans, a school for 400 children and literacy classes for adults, is in the States for breast cancer surgery at the end of June. Please pray for successful surgery and that the tumor is benign.
    • Pray for encouragement for those who have volunteered at the Healing Rooms of Liberia and been trained to pray, and pray for healing for those who will receive prayer.
    • Pray that many lives will be touched by the ministry of Mercy Ships’ outreach to the disabled and handicapped so that many will be restored to normal activities.
