Topic: The Anointing and Antichrist
- What are some of
the arguments you have heard which discount the supernatural
activities of God, whether past or present? Why do you believe
in God's supernatural power? What is your testimony to His
power? (67)
- Does your
rational mind ever keep you from realizing His presence at
times? How does a world beyond reason work? How can you be sure
it is real? (67)
- Johnson makes
the scathing claim that most of the Church's activities would
continue without the presence of the Holy Spirit. “If He (the
Holy Spirit) were not to to show up, most churches
would never miss Him.” In what ways is this true about your
congregation? How can we increase our sensitivity to the Holy
Spirit's leading?
- Just like the
Old Testament priests, our anointing qualifies us for ministry.
Do you think most Christians qualify their ministry with
education and or/ position/ or do they really see the anointing
as their qualification? What place does training and equipping
have in seeing God's purposes fulfilled through us? How do you
view your ministry currently? Are you anointed?
- How does our
anointing threaten the dominion of the spirits of hell? Do you
think of yourself as a threat and how much of a threat are you?
Where do you need to become more of a threat? (63)
- Explain the
connection between obedience and faith. Do you find obedience
difficult in any areas of your life? Is your faith affected in
these same areas? What can you do to increase obedience and your
faith?
