How to Participate

Week 4: March 2 – March 8, 2008
Chapter 6 : pgs. 68-77
Topic – The Presence of the Holy Spirit

  1. When Ephesians 3.19 tells us “be filled with all the fullness of God,”what does this mean? How can any imperfect person on earth be filled with God? What does this mean for your life? (55)
  2. God's ultimate goal is to fill each born again person with his Holy Spirit so we overflow with him. What has been your experience with receiving salvation and the infilling of the Holy Spirit?
  3. How does a person develop a relationship with the Holy Spirit? How has the Holy Spirit increased your sense of intimacy with God and how has this changed your devotional times? Has a new level of power accompanied your increase of intimacy? Power for what? (59)
  4. When the Lord Jesus said he would always be with us, what did he mean? Have you sensed or felt Jesus with you in most of your walk? Why or why not?
  5. “Following the leading of the Holy Spirit can present us with a dilemma. While He never contradicts his Word, He is very comfortable contradicting our understanding of it... But to follow Him we must be willing to follow off the map – to go beyond what we know. To do so successfully we must recognize his presence above all.” How easily do you follow the Holy Spirit off the map? Do you recognize his presence quickly?
  6. How has God worked the supernatural on our behalf or on  behalf of someone you know? How do you explain to others how God supersedes the impossible and makes things possible?
