When Heaven Invades Earth
Week 3 – February 24 – March 1, 2008
Chapter 5 : pgs. 57-67
Topic – Prayer
1.
The first priority of prayer is
to minister to God out of an intimate personal relationship. “...if
we only have ten minutes to pray, we should spend about eight
praising God. It's amazing how much we can pray for with the two
minutes we have left” (62). How much of your prayer time is
spent in worship and how do you hallow his name? (J43)
2.
The second priority of prayer is
to bring the reality of his rulership (the Kingdom) to earth. How do
you pray his Kingdom come? Where do you need his Kingdom to reign in
your life currently?
3.
God has asked us to do the
following jobs. Describe how you are currently fulfilling each one
and where you need to grow the most (47). How might you prepare your
mind to have the mentality needed in these jobs?
·
Ambassador-authority
representing another country
·
Invasion force – charged with
despoiling the kingdom of darkness
·
Infiltrator- in but not of this
world
·
Citizen-living in the reality of
the King and His resources
·
Warrior-equipped by and carrying
out the King's orders
4.
“If you want anything from
God, you will have to pray into heaven. That is where it all is. If
you live in the earth realm and expect to receive from God, you will
never get anything.” Consider this quote from Smith Wigglesworth
in terms of how you currently pray. If you are not to live in the
earth realm, where are you to live? How are you to arrive there?
5.
If you were to pick one area
where God’s Kingdom needs to be superimposed as
soon as
possible, where would that be? Do you find other people with the
same burden? Could you join with them in corporate prayer
to allow exponential power to make its impact? Plan how you
can connect with others and pray in unity (48). |
