Week 10: April 28 – May3, 2008
Chapters 14 Nd 16: pgs.
153-156, 165-175
Topic: Wartime Principles
and Invasion
1.
To be on the offensive means
that we attack first...right? How do we know where to
attack, what to attack, how and with what weapons? In short, how do
we get our military strategy?
2.
Look over the seven principles
the author shares under “Biblical Principles of War” (pgs.144-145
and in chapter summary). Comment on each in terms of your ability
and experience in each area. Find Scriptures that will help you gain
strength in each. Memorize them over the coming weeks so you can
pursue the enemy instead of letting the enemy pursue you.
3.
The Church is supposed to be
influential in the last days, to invade the culture. Is it
currently? Why or why not? What do people think about your church in
your community? What will the church need to become involved in, to
a greater capacity, for there to be effective influence?
4.
Jesus focused on the people who
gathered around Him. He considered all their needs. What are the
needs of people gathered around you at home, in ministry, at school
or the marketplace? What do you do or what can you do about these
needs? What did Jesus do? In what ways can you use you spiritual
gifts where you work or live?
5.
In order to lead, what does the
Lord ask us to do? In order to be the greatest, what does He tell us
to be? In order to be first, what does the Lord require? Are we not
to be ambitious? What place does ambition have? How can we serve
with more power?
6.
If we serve where we are
positioned, God uses the power of our righteousness. How can this
serve the people who work or live with us? Can this power affect the
financial status of the corporation or house where we serve? Can
this power affect the work climate? Explain.
