Week 9: April 20 – 27, 2008

Chapter 13: pgs. 145 – 152

Topic: Our Identity in this World

  1. In light of the Scripture “As He is, so are we in this world” (I John 4.17), how does Jesus' glorified description in Revelation, chapter I, impact you? List the verses that describe Him, make personal notes regarding each one. And share in another.
  2. “... so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4.12-13). What is the “whole measure of the fullness of Christ”? What part of the fullness of Christ is easily seen in your life?
  3. What is the true mission of the Holy Spirit in our lives? What is His strategy? What tools does He use to accomplish His mission? How is this all possible?
  4. How does glory, power, holiness and triumph directly affect the coming transformation of the Church? What will it look like; how will each one be manifest? How does it affect your transformation?
  5. Mary believed the angel and then lived out her assignment (Luke 1.26ff). It was that simple – or was it? Trace the difficulties Mary faced in those months and years after the angelic visitation.
  6. Mary had to continually remind herself of her assignment. What is your assignment? What difficulties have you faced that forced you to revisit your call to it?
